Continuing the popular series of Song Playlists for Teachers, here are a variety of songs about breath-based meditation, breathing through strong emotions, and 'the moments that take your breath away.'
Teachers, please note: With such a multicultural audience teaching young children through adults, I can’t guarantee that all of the songs and videos will be appropriate for your particular context. I’ve put brief descriptions to help you choose, but please preview anything you plan to share with your students.
All About the Breath, Mind with Heart
This cute parody of 'All About That Bass' by Meghan Trainor explains the benefits of mindfulness meditation. (It might not be appropriate for conservative contexts due to one potentially-offensive word, and due to the clothing of many of the teen participants.)
Breath, Hiromi Motomiya
audio
Instrumental flute music.
Breathe, Chloe Temtchine
Chloe Temtchine needs to use breathing tubes while performing. She wrote this song to raise awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension.
