About & Contact
MindfulTeachers.org is an internationally-respected website with resources on:
practicing and teaching mindfulness and compassion; and
mental wellness and self-care for educators and other helping professionals.
In an effort to be as authentic as possible in providing mindfulness content, this website is designed as a calm online space, with no distracting pop-ups or advertising.
About Me: Catharine Hannay
In addition to writing and content curation here at Mindful Teachers, I’m the author of Being You: A Girl’s Guide to Mindfulness, a workbook for teen girls on mindfulness, compassion, and self-acceptance.
In my previous career, I taught English to international students for 20 years, and I volunteered in programs for recent immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
You can see more information about me at my author website, CatharineHannay.com.
About Mindful Teachers
I started MindfulTeachers.org back in 2012 as a personal blog ‘learning out loud’ about mindfulness and sharing my perspective with fellow educators. In the years since then, the site has grown to become a venue for teachers and trainers to share their expertise on:
self-care and support for educators and other helping professionals;
a wide range of perspectives on practicing and teaching mindfulness; and
the intersections of mindfulness with other types of contemplative practices.
You can search the Blog by category, or you can see the full list of posts in the “Library.”

I am happy to hear from you about a potential guest post or interview if you are familiar with the types of content I typically publish, and if you have a specific area of expertise you’d like to share with colleagues around the world.
