I had an interesting discussion with Dr. Eric Moody about Mindfulness, Compassion, and the Practice of Empathy on his Optimistic Tales podcast.

Dr. Moody, a musician and a military veteran, is a professor and internship program coordinator at South Alabama University. His current research interest is the exploration of how empathy, humility, and optimism collectively impact and transform our world through the achievements and accomplishments of individual citizens

Thanks to Dr. Moody for inviting me on the Optimistic Tales podcast to talk about:

  • how the Mindful Teachers site got started and how it’s evolved over the past 12 years; and

  • my perspective on mindfulness, compassion, and empathy.

You can listen to the podcast at:

Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Amazon Music

And be sure to see Dr. Moody’s follow-up here at Mindful Teachers,

Education Can Build Empathy: Q+A with Dr. Eric Moody,” which focuses on the importance of empathy and compassion in education and the military community.
